"It's all about who you know," says Nick. "If you want to be involved in this industry, you have to get out there and meet people. Get involved in projects, even if they're small or unpaid at first. The more experience you have, the better your chances of being hired for paid gigs."
Nick also recommends getting involved with local organizations like Arizona Filmmakers. "These types of organizations are great networking resources. They can help you connect with other professionals in the industry and learn about new opportunities."

"Invest in yourself," says Nick. "Take classes, get certifications, and learn new software. The more skills you have, the more valuable you will be to potential employers." Nick also stresses the importance of staying current with industry trends. "What's hot today might be old news tomorrow.
